With over 120 restaurants nationwide and a well-selling line of BBQ products, Famous Products was seeking new ways to continue its growth. The company had purchased business intelligence software to manage and analyze its data with the hope of improving efficiencies and enabling better decision-making but hadn’t yet put it into practice.

Exploring the challenge

Famous Products is a longstanding CLA tax client. The firm’s tax principal knew the company was looking to grow its market and establish new products, so he connected the company with the firm’s digital team to explore efficiencies and data analysis for Famous Products. CLA’s Digital team:

  • Performed a digital readiness assessment to determine the company’s top business challenges that can be solved by technology.
  • Implemented business intelligence software and trained the Famous Products team on it.
  • Connected the company’s enterprise data sources.
  • Created dashboards incorporating data and modeling for improved decision-making

Achieving results

CLA’s digital team is continuing to work with Famous Products on digital and data improvements. The company is poised to launch a new product line in several new markets this summer thanks in part to efficiencies and strategies CLA helped them uncover
